You answered five brief questions in a survey last month. Here is what you said:

What is your fondest memory of being part of Sigma Phi Epsilon?

  • Brotherhood
  • The bond, brotherhood , and friendship!
  • Relationships with brothers. fun and academics
  • Any of the formals or informals from 2009 through 2013.
  • Tailgates on football Saturdays, cooking the pig all night for tailgates, formals/informals, and poker nights
  • Football game days

What are the top 3 things you gained from your Sigma Phi Epsilon experience?

  • Relationship building. responsibility and joy of brothers managing the affairs of the fraternity house themselves. leadership opportunity.
  • The importance of brotherhood, continued education, and belonging to an empowering organization.

  • Leadership skills, Community service, Lifelong friends and contact

How would your life be different today if you had never joined Sigma Phi Epsilon?

  • I have at least 6-10 fraternity brothers that have remained my best friends over the past 40+ years. We stay in contact and do our best to see each other as often as possible. My relationship and social life at UNC was substantially a function of Sig Ep.
  • Less solid college memories, less lifelong friends

  • Recently retired after the past 16 years in Washington, DC. Now living in Myrtle Beach. I have three boys.
  • Enjoyed 24yrs of marriage in June 2019, Two boys studying business/Finance at Elon university, 30 yrs at Carus Corp. - Sales/Distribution Manager for a world leader specialty water treatment chemical Co. Enjoy Sunday CAROLINA Panther football games with Mark Middlesworth/Dale Hall and a host of sig eps who attend various games

As an alumni association, we strive to keep you connected with the North Carolina Delta chapter long after graduation. What could we do to encourage you to become more active in the association? Perhaps by hosting more fun events? Any other advice?

  • More alumni events, please.
  • Host alumni cocktails at house, at the Carolina Club, or at a Franklin Street establishment.
  • Host a UNC BB game event
