Hey Brothers,

I just relocated from Salt Lake City, Utah, back to Nashville, Tennessee. I am practicing law here, specializing in patent, trademark and other intellectual property litigation. This move gets me closer to Chapel Hill, and I expect to see a bunch of ya'll around there as I bring my family around to see the Southern Part of Heaven. My 13 years in ski country allowed me to see and hang with a lot of Brothers, and I hope Music City will provide me similar opportunities. Notable, sometimes epic, trips to Utah were made by John Haines, Shawn Wood, Nate Watson, Doug Claxton, Chad Boswell and Todd O'Brien. Went to Wood's wedding in Long Beach, Nate's 40th in Seattle, and, years earlier, Nate's wedding in Vancouver, BC, where I was honored to be his best man. Saw lots of Brothers and had lots of fun at those events. Plenty to do in Nashville, too, so come hang for a few days!

Everybody is getting married these days...Ian Weir married Taralyn last September in Connecticut. Awesome wedding - Craig, Lee & I attended. Ian lives in Baltimore where he is a resident at Johns Hopkins. His wife is a resident at Mt.Sinai. Craig Freiberg got engaged on his 30th birthday to Dara (back in March). They are currently in Chicago, but moving to New Haven, Conn. this month. Craig is completing the first year of his residency at Northwestern, then on to Yale for the next few years. Lee Patterson got engaged to Anke (from Germany)in April. He is a Captain at Continental Express, moving to NJ this summer where they will be based. And I even spoke to Ryan Glauser who popped the question in May. As for me, still single living in Upper West Side NYC. I'm a VP at Lehman Brothers, trading credit derivatives in Emerging Markets. Still frequently stay in touch with Lee, Craig, Ian & Adam Marcus.

Andrea and I have been blessed with the addition of 'Leo' (Leonide Gerard IV), and Lily Maria, ages 2 and 4 months. Marc Gustafson made the journey from Atlanta to visit in the fall, and we still keep in touch with Grant Conway. I'm glad to hear Joey Canady is heading back to North Carolina from California, as we visited him a while back in Arizona. We're heading down to Sunset Beach this May, and hope to swing by Chapel Hill to catch up with old friends.

Having trouble leaving the state of California and skiing in Tahoe for a trip to NC alma mater land. I just published a novel and am excited that it is doing well. For those few of us remaining bachelors, I highly recommend writing a great american novel to bring the ladies to you! If you enjoy spiritual fiction, intelligent design debate, then check out The Big Bang; Notes From Looking Within. Otherwise just wait for the movie and take your woman to a great flick. Times change quickly. After spending a year in Gaza I have decided to now consult on international procurement. My first project was to draft the Procurement Manual for Save the Children. Once this was completed they requested me to go to Kabul, Afghanistan to train the national staff in procurement and complete a tendering process for their emergency needs during the flood season. This is ongoing at this time, but will be completed soon. What's next nobody knows, but it sure is becoming interesting!
